The Winners of Learning A-Z Writing Competition 2021

Students write for the topic of “A wonderful day with my avatar”. Submit the write up with their awesome Avatar picture:

  • Lower Primary (Grade 1-3), the word limit is 50 – 150 words
  • Upper Primary (Grade 4-6), the word limit is 80 – 200 words

Objectives:

  • Encourage students to create the original story with imagination and creativity
  • Motivate students’ interest towards reading and writing
  • Build up a positive attitude on lifelong learning skills
  • Use written English in meaningful and personalized manner

School Distinction Award:

The school with the top number of participants will have a year of one Language Arts Collection license (Including Raz-Plus and Vocabulary A-Z)

Judges

From Learning A-Z Professional Development Team, USA. The award assessment will be based on spellings, punctuation, grammar accuracy, sentence fluency and overall presentation of the student’s writing as well as the Avatar design.

Application:

  • School can contact us for requesting the competition worksheet or

Submission:

  • School can collect all student’s work, email or mail to us. Students can also submit on their own

  • The middle paragraph tells about what happened and details.
  • Each sentence is complete and makes sense.
  •  The ending paragraph tells about a feeling, solution or why the topic is memorable.
  • Use correct spelling, capital and lowercase letters, punctuation, preposition and tenses etc.

Rules:

  • Late submission will not be accepted.
  • The competition result will be announced at the end of June, posted on the Learning A-Z official website and social media.
  • Writing must be on the worksheet provided, including the school name, student name and class information.
  • Writing must be the original work of student. Plagiarism is not allowed.
  • In case of any dispute, the decision of mangoSTEEMS HK and Learning A-Z shall remain final.
